We are the owners of the Carrera Digital 132 full-scale car track and test circuits for Carrera Evolution, Carrera Digital 143 and Carrera Go/Plus/Start.We also have a small company for the custom production of quality tuning tires for toy cars. The first set of tires saw the light of day already six years ago and was intended for the McLaren M20. Although it was a relatively successful feat in terms of function – the car accelerated thanks to better grip – the production technology was unbearably demanding.The next attempt came at the end of 2022, when I needed to “boot” my toy cars from 2008 for New Year’s Eve driving. Equipped with a 3D printer and about five different silicones, I started experimenting until I achieved both a decent tire quality and a tolerable production requirement.

Production and Carrera

Almost every Carrera car owner has been confronted with the fact that basically every car model has a special set of tires. You then have only three options. Either you get original tires exactly for your car, or you go the route of trial and error and try similar tires, even if they don’t fit exactly. Or you can try different suppliers of alternative manufacturers, however, it is always more or less a compromise.I didn’t want to be satisfied with that and decided to make tires precisely tailored to a specific type of car. That’s why our tires fit exactly on the rim and have the corresponding diameter. No compromise. As a bonus, add high-quality high-strength silicone with strong grip and you have a first-class tire for your car

Tire product lines

We produce tires in three different designs. I don’t want to say the qualities, because the silicone material for production is the same, so the driving characteristics of the tires are not different.The processing is different – for the Premium series, the dimensions are as close as possible to the original, after casting, the tire does not undergo any finishing. There may be small burrs on the tire (can be removed with fine sandpaper or simple tearing), the sidewall of the tire is in the structure of the printing mold from the 3D printer.The Exclusiv range corresponds to Premium tires in terms of dimensions and driving characteristics. After casting, we finalize the tires – we grind off the burrs, the sidewalls are smoothed. The rounding of the sidewalls stands out more and the tire looks significantly better.The last row is Tuning. We offer this range primarily for cars that do not have adjustable magnets. In this case, the size of the pressure force can be increased either by using better magnets or by reducing the diameter of the tires. As a result, the car sits lower, the magnets have wind pressure and the car holds better in corners – you drive the wheels easily a third faster… The price for this acceleration is increased stress on the engine, which has to “overcome” the greater rolling resistance of the tire. At least initially, keep checking the engine temperature to avoid burning it. We also finalize tuning tires before shipping.
